Hayward EcoStar variable-speed pool pumps provide best in class energy efficiency for most any pool and spa combination, including upgrading the majority of single speed models up to 3 horsepower (hp). Designed for medium to large pools, they can save up to 90% on energy costs or as much as $1500 per year, compared with single speed pool pumps.
EcoStar installs easily and works with a wide variety of equipment.
Customers can save significant time and money by installing EcoStar, because they don’t have to buy additional equipment or accessories. Its fully programmable, self-contained 24-hour time clock with up to eight custom speed and timer functions allows EcoStar to manage flow throughout the day. EcoStar can alternatively be controlled by Hayward controls such as OmniLogic, ProLogic, OnCommand, and E-Command 4, or other third-party pool and spa controls. Whether used in new construction or aftermarket applications, EcoStar is the perfect choice.
Quiet by design
Sunday afternoons and soft summer nights are never interrupted. EcoStar's variable-speed control ensures that the water flows at the rate needed, and because EcoStar's advanced hydraulic design moves water more efficiently, the motor can run at even lower speeds for incredibly quiet operation.

EcoStar is extremely easy to use, even for a new pool owner. Its next-generation, integrated digital control interface is intuitive to operate and always easy to access, since it can be rotated in four different directions on the pump or removed and wall-mounted—a feature that's especially important if the pump sits in a tight space. EcoStar also provides on-board diagnostics and automatic protection against priming failures, temperature extremes and voltage fluctuations to ensure seamless operation.

When operating at lower speeds, EcoStar moves pool and spa water more efficiently through the filter, removing more particulate and creating clearer water. For added convenience, a no-rib basket design ensures easy debris removal.
